PC stalwarts will have to wait a little bit longer to guide the Dark Knight through Batman: Arkham City. Warner has confirmed to VG247 that Arkham City will release for PC in North America on November 22, in Australia on November 23, in France on November 24, and remaining European territories on November 25. In addition to the regular retail and digital outlets, Arkham City will also be available in EA’s newly-launched Origin store.

Arkham City’s PC release was first delayed back in September, pushing it to November 18, a full month behind the console versions. No reason has been given for either delay, but Warner’s calling this the “definitive” version, complete with support for 3D, PhysX, and DirectX 11. Perhaps they’ve taken extra time to polish all the bells and whistles.

No word yet on what DLC will be available for PC at launch. The Nightwing content is already out on consoles, and the Robin pack (previously a preorder bonus) is scheduled for release on November 22.

They can take all the time they need, as long as the game, once released on PC, is well optimized and polished, that is all that counts.

I agree. I also don't mind the delay because I can save my money after having purchased the last 2 blockbuster games for the PC.

Then again, since Batman is mostly single player gameplay maybe I can hold off till it drops in price.

It's the new hot thing to do:

    1) Delay PC release at least two weeks. It's really in fear of PC piracy costing console sales, but make up some other excuse.

    2) Mess up and see the console version leaked to torrent sites at least a week before its launch date.

At some point they've got to realize that 360 games are all over the torrent sites and are closing in pretty fast on PC torrents in popularity.

Whilst I might suspect that of many publishers, WB and Rocksteady earned my respect with Arkham Asylum, one of the most polished (and stable) games I've played. It was delayed a few weeks to add in PhysX content, which I think added to the atmosphere of the game quite well. If they need a few more weeks to get the PC version of Arkham City up to their high standards then I'll manage, I've got plenty of other games to play while I wait.

Take your time Rocksteady, get it right, don't rush it out.
