Z97 Motherboards Listed: Now in USA, Taiwan, and EU

Despite being nowhere near the official release date, it would seem that retailers have jumped the gun. We reported earlier that a retailer in China has started to list Intel’s next generation of chipset-based motherboards, but now this has spread to EMEA, APAC and North America. The lists include detailed un-doctored images of each motherboard, with pricing. Each retailer seems to be doing it differently, for example Newegg state that they have models ‘in stock’, whereas Aria.co.uk are listing their models for pre-order.
Currently at Newegg, we have the following available:
- USD $260: MSI Z97 MPower Max AC
- USD $250: ASUS Sabertooth Z97
- USD $200: MSI MPower
- USD $190: MSI Z97-Gaming 7

Interesting enough, these are all GIGABYTE models, and the naming of these coincides with what we believe to be MSI’s product range as well, perhaps confusing the matter. Notice that ASRock seem missing from these lists.
It would be interesting to see if the retailers will actually ship today if you ordered. Those specifically with ‘pre-order’ mentioned might wait until the launch date, but some seem to be freely listing ‘in-stock’. I have a feeling that other retailers in each of these regions might start listing their stock in response.

Additional: It would seem that motherboard manufacturers are also starting to list all their specifications on their websites. Users can see the whole range for ASUS today, and no doubt GIGABYTE, ASRock and MSI will follow suit.

Um, Anandtech is a site whose content is in English.For Europe, the country that is the largest English-speaking country is (surprise!) England.
England uses the Pound.
Thus, when taking screenshots of European prices, for easiest readability to Americans, you use an English-based website.
The Pound and the Euro are fixed to each other - if you haven't figured out the conversion in the last 15 years, then you're the one who needs help.
They also show NTD instead of Yen or Renminbi! Taiwanese puppets!

Hi Charon, I agree with you, he was being a bit petty. However, I'd just like to point out that England is not the same as the UK (United Kingdom of Great Britain & Northern Ireland). Also AFAIK the Pound floats against other currencies. It was fixed vs the Deutchmark a fair while ago, but that ran into a major accident, cf: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Wednesday#Prel... .Definitely floating since then. The odd vague suggestion to join the Euro but never a popular idea for whatever reason :) Of course the prices of electronics hardly convert directly anyway!

UK is a member of the EU. It makes sense/cents that they still have the pound since it is worth more than the Euro and US dollar. Sites often list various currencies. I'm not complaining when Asian currencies are posted. I'm American and am unhappy with the Internet spying going on being paid for with my own money, so the government can manipulate the world and internal affairs, but why beat Anandtech for it?
